I'd rather live in expensive, sunny California for four.
Besides, SAIC never had an illustration program so I'm not sure what I was gonna actually do there. The school is great, don't get me wrong, it's actually really great. The professors are amazing. But I'm not a 'gallery' kind of artist.
Since I've posted a journal, a LOT has happened.
I've been hired to illustrate a series of nine kiddie books
Finishing the Sparkle Knight up this week, hopefully:

I've started an art blog:

It will have process pictures and stuff that I don't post on DA sooooo check it out!
*and* an Electric Unicorn blog:

I've gotten married, (no joke) started a series of emergency dental work, (root canal, wisdom teeth out, fillings, the whole nine.) acquired a real job (I say 'real' because I have to actually show up somewhere) and applied to Otis College of Art and Design.
I got my portfolio together, wrote my essay and filled out my application in one day. My Dad, who is visiting the school with my Sister who is also going to attend Otis, showed my portfolio to the director of admissions and she said I'd have no problem getting in. And she waived my application fee, so I feel pretty much awesome lately. Well, besides the pain in my mouth from dental work, but that's what Hydrocodone is for!
I have to go fret about whether to sparkle the Sparkle Knight or draw for these books now.
I might end up getting something productive done before nightfall.
If I finish illustrating the first book I was hired to do, I'll get to actually put it all up here! Once it's published and all.
I know that my billion fans are so exited. (sarcasm.)
